Luke Whiteside Art

I find interest in the contrast between the ordered and the chaotic and this fascination certainly exists in my brand of art.  Using acrylics, spray paint, house paint, ink and graphite, I create often ambiguous representations of the modern condition.  Certain elements, like simplistic trees, rows of housing, goats, distinctive dental features, Native American symbolism and humanesque animal figures show an interest in representation which often borders on obsession.  While, I hope, these scenes leave room for significant personal interpretation, environmental destruction, globalization, rural-urban disparity, agricultural modernization, dystopian societies and industrial decline are consistent themes.  The photography
